Terms & Conditions
By requesting or authorizing service from Honestech Mobile Mechanic Service ("Honestech"), the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms.
Service Coverage & Referrals
Within Middlesex County, services are performed by the owner when available. Outside of Middlesex County, or when unavailable, work may be referred to a trusted independent technician. Honestech is not responsible for the workmanship or outcomes of third-party technicians.
Diagnostics & Inspections
Honestech is not currently accepting standalone diagnostic appointments. A proper diagnosis requires access to vehicle-specific electrical diagrams and repair manuals, and we will not perform one without the right resources to give you an accurate and honest assessment. We are working on expanding our capabilities and hope to offer this service in the future.
If Honestech chooses to perform a diagnostic on a case-by-case basis, the following applies: diagnostics are limited to visible and accessible components at the time of service. Intermittent problems, hidden damage, multiple failures, prior modifications, or incomplete information may require additional testing. A diagnostic is not a guarantee that no other problem exists, and additional visits may be needed.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Honestech is not responsible for failures or damage caused by pre-existing conditions, prior repairs, worn components, corrosion, contamination, or manufacturer defects.
Fluid Contamination & Mechanical Risk
Honestech is not liable for damage caused by incorrect, contaminated, or low fluids, including but not limited to oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, or fuel.
Customer-Supplied Parts
Customers are responsible for providing correct parts verified by VIN. Honestech does not warranty customer-supplied parts. Labor related to customer-supplied parts is non-refundable.
Requests Are Not Confirmed Appointments
Submitting a quote request form does not guarantee availability, same-day service, a confirmed appointment, or a final price. A request becomes a confirmed appointment only after Honestech directly confirms the date and time with you.
Accurate Information & Vehicle Authority
You agree to provide accurate contact, vehicle, and service location information. You must be the vehicle owner or have authority to request and approve work. You must also have permission for Honestech to enter and work at the service location. Please notify us of any access restrictions, parking rules, hazards, or other conditions before your appointment.
Authorization to Perform Work
The customer authorizes Honestech to perform the requested services and understands that additional issues may be discovered once work begins. If additional work or costs are identified, Honestech will request your approval before proceeding beyond the originally agreed scope. You may decline additional recommendations.
Safety & Service Conditions
Honestech reserves the right to stop, postpone, or decline work due to unsafe conditions including but not limited to traffic exposure, weather, unstable lifting surfaces, unsafe vehicle condition, poor access, or any condition that cannot be handled safely with mobile equipment. Customer safety and technician safety are always the priority.
Payment Policy
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payments processed through Stripe are subject to a 3% processing fee.
No-Show & Cancellation
There is no cancellation fee when you cancel a confirmed appointment with at least 4 hours notice. A cancellation or no-show fee may apply when you cancel less than 4 hours before the scheduled appointment, or when the customer, vehicle, or required access is unavailable without notice. If Honestech has already begun traveling to your location, a travel charge may also apply.
Limitation of Liability
Honestech's liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the service performed. Honestech is not responsible for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages.
Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
